India, our country is the seventh-largest country in the whole world, it is huge and beautiful. India is a very unique country because there are so many different caste, religion and cultures and they all live together. That’s why the reason , India is famous for the common saying of “ unity in diversity”. India is also known as Bharat, Hindustan . India is a democratic country having their own flag . The flag contain three colours: saffron, white, and green in which saffron represents purity, the white colour represents peace and green stand for fertility. The white colour has an Asoka Chakra of blue colour on it . It contains twenty four spokes which are equally divided . India has 29 states and 7 union territories. The national anthem of India is “Jana Gana Mana”. The national song of India is “Vande Mataram”. Peacock is the national bird of India and Tiger is the national animal of India . Mango is the national fruit of India. Hockey is the national sport of India. People used to speak different languages but the national language is Hindi.
Our country is full of beautiful people and beautiful landscape. Full of wonders from The Himalayas to The Indian Ocean. India is also rich in monuments, tombs, churches, historical buildings, temples, museums and many more. It is also rich in wildlife sanctuaries. In India, people of different religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism lives together from ancient times. India is known for diversity in the region, diversity in languages, diversity in food, diversity in clothing, diversity in states, diversity in everything that represents the world. India is a country of the republic that is for the people, by the people and to the people. In India, people are so independent that they can rum the country, by choosing their own favourites leader by giving votes. Our country celebrates so many different festivals such as Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and many more and all the festivals are so exciting and so much fun.
People of India worshipped so many God and Goddess . Over 1.3 billion people lived in India that’s why it is second highest country in the world . From the vast deserts of Rajasthan and the blissful beaches of Goa and the busy metro politan cities of Mumbai and Kolkata . The majority population is Hindu.
Basically, Indian culture is tolerant and absorbing . His nature is assimilative . The democratic installation facilitates the process . Diversity in all aspects of society serves as a source of strength and wealth. The different ways of worshipping and believing represents the underlying uniformity. They promote a spirit of harmony and fraternity. This goes beyond all considered of religious, regional , linguistic diversity.
Our country is also a Land of villages and filled full of bodies. And here most of the family run their daily wages through agriculture. Our fields are fed by mighty rivers like Ganges, Yamunas, Brahmaputra, Godavari, Narmada, Krishna and Kavery. The Gangetic Valley is the most fertile region of our country.
India is rich in dialects and languages. 22 languages constitutionally enjoy official language status, but Hindi is considered as national language. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Nagaland to Mumbai, Hindi is understood as every people. Although different regions have different regional affiliations, they are all Indian . People are called Bihari, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Marathi, Gujarati, but they are proved to say that they are Indian. The country is full of tribal domes, folk dances are classical dance of great virtuosity. They are considered as the mode of aesthetic expression but they all symbolize India. The expression is different but the theme is the same.
We are so proud to be the inheritance of India. It is our responsibility to maintain its unique characteristics.
