In some countries they are listed under pest animals and are killed without infringing the law .In Nepal, the government has given license to farmers to kill Wild boars only when they cause damages to agricultural crops. They are not allowed to kill wild boars for their tusk and horns or meat which are considered as an valuable things in black market. This is a loophole for poachers and for the black markets. In Kerala, a reasonable number of farmers were given license to kill pest animals. Soon Indian farmers will also get license to kill trespassing Wild boars. There is question arise, if these Wild boars are killed ,how will the Wild Boars population able to sustain the loss? And the answer is, Wild boars are huge in population ,they are not a part of endangered species. The today’s population of Wild boar exceed 10 million in Europe which is expected to increase more in the upcoming years. So the Wild boars population will able to sustain the loss.
Instead of killing these Wild boars there are some other ways to prevent them from damaging agricultural crops. Among them one of the traditional ways to prevent Wild boar is arranging different colors of sarees around the crops which make the Wild boar to assume the presence of human in the agriculture area. Some other ways to prevent is installing fencing around the agricultural land or having a guard animals to protect livestock. By using these methods humans can also save their crops as well as co-exist peacefully with them.
